  This is a free camping ground, so it does the job but don't expect anything spectacular. Area has plenty of space with enough vegetation to create a natural ambiance, plus access to a small beach. The drop toilet is basic with toilet paper provided, but quite smelly. Not very enticing, probably why many campers choose to squat around the perimeter of the campsite (expect to see littered toilet paper). It's great there is a free camp site in Coles Bay, so I'd say ideal for a stopover, but if you plan on staying more than 2 nights consider paying to camp in the National Park.

  Stayed here last weekend and had a lovely evening. There's a pit toilet which is great and the local beach is quite pleasant. It's outside the jurisdiction of Freycinet National Park so there are no park fees. As such it gets pretty full in the busy months. The area is quite sandy so be careful if you're driving a regular car and not a 4x4.
